More about our lineup...

Zach Deputy - Website - There is nothing out there like Zach Deputy. Truly a one-man band, he is a powerhouse of performance, technical chops, and one hell of a charismatic presence. Put simply, Zach Deputy does what is called live looping: layering sounds through the magic of technology to create a full band effect. He isn’t the only performer out there doing this, but he has taken the technique to the next level. First and foremost, however, Zach Deputy is a songwriter, a shredding guitarist and a soulful singer with a 4+ octave vocal range. He can also drop freestyle rhymes with the best of them. The Zach Deputy sound is essentially roots rock, but in his case the roots are in soul, calypso and dancehall, underpinned by driving hip-hop, rock steady, Motown and Stax backbeats created with his layered vocal beatboxing. On top of the backbeat, Zach Deputy’s nylon strings pull multiple duties as bass, rhythm and lead guitar. Riding over that, a plethora of sounds– keyboard, steel drums and an entire horn section– come pumping and grinding out of the speakers when Zach takes the stage. He is a one man dance party, but he can also bring an audience to rapt attention with a heartfelt love ballad.

Yarn - Website - Hot diggety, this is one cool, swingin', bluegrassy, country, honky-tonked quintet! Lead singer Blake Christiana is dead-nuts molded in a hoots-n-hollers timbre and when he sharps out while squeezing the lines for that last drop of countrified tang, it sends shivers up the spine. The shuffly smoothness to songs like Empty Pockets recall Gordon Lightfoot in a less wistful mood, though there's melancholy aplenty to go around in…until the solos kick in on More and it's time to boot scoot. Edie Brickell likes these characters and sat in on I'm Down, a cry-in-yer beer croon made all the more bittersweet by her sugar-flower backing refrains, delicate and frail. The contrast and harmony she puts on Christiana's lines has to be heard, literally transforming tone and color as Josh Roy Brown's pedal steel underscores everything. Elsewhere, Tony Trishka decided to lend his masterful banjo and ornaments several cuts as well, always a welcome presence. The rest of the Yarn cast should probably take more solos but work beautifully as a rhythm unit nonetheless, the sod on which Christiana's voice and guitar dance and reflect. Still, when Casey Dreissen joins the boys on fiddle, it becomes noticeable that they have more than a few chops in their back pocket, and a showcasing wouldn't hurt one little bit. www.acousticmusic.com

U-Melt - Website - The spirit of the progressive rock era - the readiness to experiment, the premium on precision and the openness to move beyond preconceived boundaries - lives in the music and ethos of U-Melt. The untraditional sound comes from varied backgrounds of the men who make up the New York based band.

Turtle Soup - Website - Turtle Soup is an original, high-energy mix of rock, funk and trance with Latin and world music accents. Based in New Jersey, their unique sound, upbeat songs and explosive musical abilities have strongly resonated with audiences and dance floors around and in the jam/festival scene. Turtle Soup is the "Real Deal" and has built a following via consistently exceptional live performances and positive vibes. Critics also approve with glowing reviews and awards. Turtle Soup was named New Groove of the Month at jambands.com, and they've won Top Jam Band and Top Groove Band at the Asbury Music Awards for several years in a row. They've shared bills with Furthur, moe., Blues Traveler, Steve Kimock's Crazy Engine, Jim Weider's Project Percolator, Gongzilla, Dark Star Orchestra, Marshall Tucker Band, Max Creek and many others, gaining several endorsements along the way. Festivals and venues include: NY Harvest Festival, Strangecreek, Phanphest, Stonehenge, Wormtown Music Festival, Endless Summer Jam, Stone Pony, Triumph Brewery, Evolve Arts & Music Festival, Some Kind of Jam, Blue Claws Arena and many more.

That's How The Get Ya! - Website - Unable to disclose at this time...

Status Green - Website - Status Green is buzz band out of New Jersey. An off-set indie rock style with some throwback gritty 60's pop. A well oiled musical machine belting out Anthem'y sing alongs with an exciting and usually up-beat tempo. They've just returned back to the Garden State after a full US tour so Pennsylvania open your arms and hearts. Head over to the main stage at 3pm, kick off your birkenstocks and DIG!

Splintered Sunlight - Website - Splintered Sunlight formed in 1992. "Splintered" quickly became the most popular Grateful Dead Tribute band in the Philadelphia area gaining praise from Dead Heads and Non Heads alike. Sine that time, Splintered Sunlight has become a permanent fixture for music in the Mid Atlantic regiong. The band has also maintained a weekly residency at Brownies 23 East in Ardmore, PA for years. plintered Sunlight has a play list of well over two hundred songs, spanning the thirty year career of the Grateful Dead (as well as numerous other classic rock songs) from which it skillfully crafts each show's set list, carefully endeavoring to not repeat songs--let alons set lists in the same or even nearby venues. Splintered Sunlight and its members have performed with Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead, as well as former Grateful Dead members, Donna Jean Godcheaux; and pianist Tom Constanten. They have also performed with longtime Grateful Dead collaborator Merle Saunders and Jimmy Herring guitarist for "The Dead." In addition Splintered has shared the stage with many notable Dead related acts including Kingfish, Jorma Kaukonen and Jefferson Starship among others.

Rick Barry - Website - Rick Barry's voice is as honest as a drink at a bar with an old friend. His lyrics are raw, unapologetic poetry that reach well beyond his years. Evolving from folk music, into a sound that could only be described as "neo-folk," he has truly reinvented himself and has been met with rave reviews in cities across North America.

Quimby Mountain Band - Website - We are strange birds who nestled together in various groves, and eventually landed on the same leafy tree. Over the past years we have been playing rocknroll tunes for drunk people at bars, drunk people at parties, and schizophrenics. Our music is inspired mostly by the maniacal madness of our crowded, smokey jam space where one legged homeless men hop about and jungle parrots fly with the colors of soul.

Psychedelphia - Website - We're a bunch of guys from all over the place ( 3 from Greater Philly, 1 from Tennessee>Colorado>Philly, 1 from Colorado>Boston>Philly). We all grew up on different types of music, and we enjoy experimenting with each other to see what sounds we can create, and sometimes, songs get developed : ) We're based on the Nuke Farm, about 30 miles west of Philly, and we play mostly throughout the Northeast.

The Point - Website - The Point brings an intense new sound to the realm of live music today. Best described as the marriage of swirling soundscapes with a deeply rhythmic foundation, they produce a sound altogether their own. Extended jams are likely to reach an epiphany with three-part harmonies soaring over the band. More at the root, feel-good tunes are spiked with wicked time play and electronic manipulation. Progressive songwriting and keen musicianship never outshadow the ones and twos: the listener never forgets that they are hearing a live band on organic instruments. In sum, the Point creates an unforgettable, unique live experience which leaves their crowds satisfied yet hungry for more electronic, psychedelic, hip-hop groove.

Matt & Jaffrey - Website - Matt Reynolds, lead guitarist of Planet Spam and Fry Daddy, found his Sitar collecting dust, stringless, tucked away in a corner of a music store. Finding it to be a steal, he bought it and was driving home with it in his back seat. Jaffrey, who had been Matt's gas station attendent, saw the Sitar in the back of Matt's car while pumping gas for him. Jaffrey tapped out several rythyms on matt's car roof. That's how they met and have been playing together ever since. Matt and Jaffrey have played PhanPhest 1.5 and 2.0, as well as PhanPhest 4.

Matt O'Ree Band - Website - Matt O'Ree has been cranking out the blues-rock since he was an early teen. With all the trappings of a genuine guitar hero, he plays with fire in his fingers and blues in his soul.

Lemon Juice - Website - "Sure to please with just a squeeze, Lemon Juice is an eager young band building momentum in the New Jersey music market. This Wall, NJ based quartet enjoys tasty licks, deep bass grooves, & the support from a growing fan-base. Check out Lemon Juice who has frequently performed at the historic Stone Pony among other venues." - Chris Paul

Juggling Suns - Website - Recently referred to as one of the Jam Scene's "Best Kept Secrets" by Relix magazine, Juggling Suns have been abducting fans from New Jersey to Japan since 1997. Their roots lie in the diverse musical styles of old school psychedelia, jazz, bluegrass, funk, trance, dance and pure rock n roll, and those roots have fueled their legendary on-stage improvisation. The Suns have played to packed audiences in Japan and all over the United States.

Jimkata - Website - Described as “one of the best up-and-coming bands” by jambase.com, Jimkata can best be described as electro-rock. Combining hair-raising rock and roll with an industrial touch of synthesizers, sampling, and electronic drums the sound is a reminder of the modern lengths that a fourtet can reach without leaving their rock roots. While inspired by the world of improvisational and progressive music, Jimkata focuses on song structure, textures, layers and vibrant world conscious lyrics.

The Indobox - Website - From Boston, MA and roots in Northeast PA, The Indobox is starting dance-parties everywhere they go, bringing something they call Dance-Rock... Guitarists Mike Carter and Joe Zarick fuse psychedelic rock guitars with dirty dance beats from Steve Learson's synths and Quinn Ferree's drums, all with catchy hooks to sing along to. An having played gigs with The New Deal and at Camp Bisco Festivals, you know every Indobox show will inevitably turn into a wild dance party.

Hot Molecule - Website - Unable to disclose at this time...

Keith Kenny - Website - If the audience at a Keith Kenny show were to close their eyes for the performance, they would swear that there was a full band on stage. Kenny’s fans, however, are to busy dancing to the one man act’s layered guitar riffs, singing, blues harp, percussion, and even simulated mouth trumpet to even think about looking away. “I like to throw a lot of stuff at you,” Kenny said. The 24-year old Monroe Township native is able to create a multifaceted sound by using a loop sampling pedal with his Martin DX1 acoustic-electric guitar, which he fondly calls “Martina.” The percussion sound comes from Kenny drumming on his guitar, which is equipped with a pickup to amplify the sound. A good portion of his concerts consist of improvisation. “It’s all about the moment,” Kenny said. “I want people to feel like if they didn’t come to the show last night, they missed something that’s not going to happen again.”

FiKus - Website - FiKus is a five-piece rock band from Bergen County, New Jersey. Built upon a "do it yourself" attitude, the group has earned their following through commandeering unlikely venues and private parties and turning them into "FiKus FreaKouts." Larger and larger groups of fans began crowding into living rooms, church basements, baseballs fields, and outdoor amphitheaters. The group even played at an erotic film festival in New York City. FiKus has expanded in a multi-media entertainment experience as the group has conducted psychedelic light shows to ensure that the full emotional atmosphere of their performances would reach their captivated audiences. What should you expect when you see FiKus? Expect something you've never heard before. Expect to dance 'till you drop while howling at the moon. Most importantly, know that you are about to be embraced in a force that will Freak you out into a new reality which will overcome everything you have ever been and weave its way into every part of your being.

Consider the Source - Website - Three Musicians converging on an epic plateau of sound and reflex. Three conscious minds communicating on sub-conscious levels. New York City’s CONSIDER THE SOURCE is the fourth voice, produced only when the trio’s three distinct personalities combine forces to share their inner music freely with each other. Toting the loaded description Sci-Fi Middle Eastern Funk, their sound is a melting pot of Middle Eastern scales, psychedelic jams, and a hard rocking rhythm section. Featuring Gabriel Marin on Fret-Less Double Neck Guitar, John Ferrara on Bass, and Justin Ahiyon on Drums/Percussion, the three musicians cite their influences as including The Bad Plus, The Mahavishnu Orchestra, King Crimson and Tool—but a major source of their musical power can be attributed to a trip the band took to India, where they studied the complex tala (rhythm) of North India, and the micro-tonal scale structure and melodic ornamentations of South India. The trio have since brought their experiences back to the recording studio and to the stage. Guitarist Gabriel Marin, recently highlighted in Guitar Player Magazine, says, “Our music combines influences from Turkish, Bulgarian, North and South Indian styles with jazz and fusion, and then we filter it through our own heavy rock and psychedelic sounds and approaches.”

Codename - Website - Codename's songs are a fusion of tightly composed, high-energy progressive-rock arrangements, complimented by jazzy harmonies and funked out dance grooves. Their show is a true experience. The soulful connection is apparent between Adam Nash (keys/piano), Jon Joffe (guitar), Greg Halbkram (bass), and Sal Galati (drums/percussion), as their chemistry both on and off the stage combines unique energy, vision, and sense of adventure that all goes into the jazz-infused blast of funk rock that is Codename. Among their influences are The Grateful Dead and Phish, Herbie Hancock, John Scofield and Medeski Martin & Wood, Pink Floyd, Yes, Soulive and The Allman Brothers. Their music is, in a single word, vibrant. From bars to clubs to mid-sized venues to colleges to house parties, Codename has maintained an impressive touring regimen over the last two and a half years, performing everywhere from the Theater of Living Arts, NXNW, World Cafe, the Fire, and the North Star Bar in their hometown of Philadelphia, PA to the Knitting Factory, the Lion's Den, and Coda in New York City, as well as Castaways in Ithaca, NY and the Sonar Lounge in Baltimore, MD. They attract music goers of all ages and tastes and continue to grow and develop as a single cohesive unit. Throughout their touring, Codename's had the privilege of sharing the stage with some very incredible artists such as Lotus, Strangefolk, Juggling Suns, U-Melt, Sam Kininger, The Brakes, Grace Potter, Yonder Mountain String Band, and MJ Project. Currently producing a new album to be released late Fall, Codename has several upcoming dates in the Tri-State area, including this Friday opening for the Juggling Suns in Belmar, NJ and Thanksgiving Eve's show with Lotus in Philadelphia, PA.
